Heard the one about the theme park with no rides?

We’re delighted to have been taken on board by Puy du Fou, France’s second largest theme park. A 3-day recce in September was enough to convince us that this was something special – a theme park with spectacular shows but no rides, upmarket accommodation and, judging by the visitors, one that appeals to every generation.

The highlight of the trip was undoubtedly the extraordinary and technically brilliant night-time Cinéscénie, the world’s largest show, staged with the assistance of 3800 local volunteers.

With 40 years under its belt and 2.26m visitors a year, the Park isn’t exactly new on the scene, but as far as the UK is concerned, it certainly is a well-kept secret. Watch this space.
