    As a new entrant to the European villa market in 2008, soloSicily recognised the need to establish itself in the UK via the consumer media. Using a variety of methods, significant coverage was secured in the first year in all the national broadsheets and in carefully targeted monthly glossy magazines including Junior and Olive.

    Limited budgets restricted us to organising just two press visits in the first year so it was crucial that they both delivered to maximum effect. Press visits organised for the Guardian and Elle both resulted in a full colour page editorial and consequently, increased bookings for the company.

    We've been working with JG Communications since our launch in 2008. The superb media coverage has had an unexpectedly significant impact on our sales in the UK market. For us, JG Communications' PR campaign is an indispensable element of our marketing strategy.

    Premier Cottages (clients from 2003-2008). Briefed to establish Premier Cottages as a leading UK cottage provider, we secured regular and positive exposure both for the consortium's brand and for many of the individual cottage owners.

    In addition to the media relations campaign, low-cost marketing initiatives with organisations such as the Association of National Parks Authority and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty generated significant interest amongst key audiences. Other highlights included the 'Celebrating British Gardens' campaign which generated considerable interest from the existing customer database and produced extensive coverage in national and regional press, including a half-page in The Times.

    Jenny Garber's PR campaign was a major factor in our success. She definitely contributed towards the brand recognition, and improved press support for individual members as well. She is the consummate professional, and handles the press and clients with confidence and style.

    Keycamp Holidays (clients from 1990-2005). During this period, the company developed from a small independent operator to one of the UK's leading camping and mobile home companies, culminating in its acquisition by Holidaybreak plc. Working closely with both the marketing and agency sales teams ensured that media exposure levels in the trade and consumer press remained consistently high.

    In 2004, we instigated the (still existing) partnership with Tumble Tots, resulting in the launch of a Tumble Tots programme on several Keycamp sites in France. Established both to differentiate Keycamp from its competitors and to promote low-season business, the initiative also produced significant press coverage in all national broadsheets, regional press and several key parenting print media.

    Jenny created and implemented a superb campaign for Keycamp with the travel trade, ensuring that the company always maintained an extremely high profile in the trade press.

A low-budget media relations campaign for music and wine holiday specialist, Orpheus & Bacchus, resulted in some stunning accolades, double page spreads in the Observer and Times, an article in the FT and regular mentions in the Guardian and Daily and Sunday Telegraph.

    Articles also appeared in BBC Music, Decanter, Food & Travel, Good Housekeeping and House & Garden and in 2009, the company was featured in the Sunday Times 100 Best Summer Holidays.

    For immediacy and intimacy, this has to be as good as musical holidaymaking can possibly get.

    Wake up in France (clients since 2005). With 15 years' experience in providing accommodation throughout France for the summer market, the company launched Wake up and Ski, a self-catering, accommodation-only ski programme in September 2010.

    Media coverage achieved during the initial weeks of the campaign included items in the Independent, Sunday Independent, the Times, In the Snow, Junior magazine and in regional press via the Press Association.
